TPS Editor-in-Chief Jeff Seffinga's Sandburg's Fog
received the Seraphim Editions Award for Individual Poem

Former Editor-in-Chief Joanna Lawson's A Bundle of Life
received the Wolsak & Wynn Publisher Award for Poetry Book

October 25, 2008:  Philpott Memorial Coffee House

Philpott Memorial Church, 84 York Blvd., Hamilton, Ontario


TPS Secretary Wilma Seville and
Circulation Manager Ed Woods take part
in the first ever Philpott evening of poetry and music.


(Above right) Ed reads his poetry at the Philpott;
and four days later, Wilma (right) also brings her poetry
to the FRWY Coffee House, where she is joined
by G.W. Down and Ed as fellow TPS readers.







June 15, 2008:

Launch of Tower Poetry 57#1

at Whitehern Historic House & Garden in Hamilton, Ontario


TPS President Norman Brown welcomes the audience of 30 from the podium.

in 1951 at McMaster University,

With characteristic wit and humour, former TPS Treasurer G.W. Down (above) prefaces his reading by listing ways in which people can support the Society financially.

Social conviviality concludes a stimulating literary event
on a pleasant afternoon.
